| Bio: | I am currently a programmer for a small web development company. I do mostly web design and back-end/database work for them. I live on the shoreline of Middlesex County in Connecticut, USA. I've been programming in various languages since I was about 6 years old. I mostly work with PHP, SQL, C, and C++.   From 2002 to the first quarter of 2004 I was a 411 directory assistance operator for SBC (now AT&T, formerly SNET).Once upon a time back in BBS days (1989-1988), I used to go by the nick 'Hac'. Or 'The Hac' if you go back far enough. Luckily I wizened up and took off the somehow embarrassing definite article... I'm very self-depreciating. I joke around a lot with a very sarcastic and often dark sense of humor, but I do know when to be serious. I tend to find humor in even the worst of tragedies -- basically I've chalked it up to it being a self-defense mechanism that lets me cope instead of exploding and punching things. Do not let the tastelessness I'm capable of convince you I'm a heartless jerk. That couldn't be further from the truth.  I tend to get angry and passionate about things, especially injustices and corruption. Likewise I love to talk about politics in a...I'm not sure how to describe it...an anti-political-party sort of way. I don't give a shit about red, blue, pink, green, yellow, fuckin' polka dots or left, right, center, diagonal, etc. All I care about is cutting through the games and the bullshit and doing what's right and punishing what is wrong. I'm not shy about this: I hate Bush, sure, but it goes deeper than that. If you knew half the shit that's rarely ever even hinted at in the news... *cough*... anyways...My favorite tool, besides a compiler, is Photoshop. Whether I'm cleaning up an old photograph, or turning someone into a zombie -- it's what I find myself doing more often than not.  When nobody is around, I often play with my Transformers and pretend pens are exotic spaceships, and fly them around in the air with my hand while make wooshing and laser noises, sometimes coming up with a complex story to go with it. (I often pray there isn't a microphone or camera hidden someplace.)One of my faults is that I tend to start working on something and then get distracted and move onto something else. I have a trail of coding projects behind me that I never finished. I tend to need help staying focused, since I get bored easily. (You might imagine how chaotic my job must be with such tendencies...) I am 30 as of June 22nd, 2006... and I'm not happy about it at all. | |||||||||
